يكشف مهرجان الجونة السينمائي عن القسم الخاص “نافذة على فلسطين” والذي يعرض مجموعة من أهم الأفلام التى تتعمق في قلب القصص الفلسطينية. هذا القسم تم اختيار أفلامه بعناية بهدف تسليط الضوء على التحديات التي تواجه هؤلاء البشر الصامدين كمحاولة لدعوة الجمهور نحو فهم أعمق للتجارب الإنسانية في فلسطين. وكما أعلن مسبقا من المقرر أن تنعقد الدورة السادسة لمهرجان الجونة السينمائي في الفترة من 14 إلى 21 ديسمبر .
إن عنوان نافذة على فلسطين يلخص بشكل مثالي جوهر هذه الرحلة السينمائية حيث يدعو المشاهدين لإلقاء النظر على الحياة غير المرئية والقصص التي لم تروى. ومن خلال هذا القسم والذي تم تنسيق معظم أفلامه بالتعاون مع مؤسسة الفيلم الفلسطيني، يهدف مهرجان الجونة التركيز على القصص التلقائية التي تستحق أن تسمع، مانحا فرصة لتلك الأصوات التي تم تجاهلها منذ زمن طويل. كما يؤكد هذا القسم الخاص التزام المهرجان بدعم القضية العادلة للشعب الفلسطيني.
تشمل الأفلام المعروضة في القسم مجموعة من القصص المدهشة. يقدم فيلم “الإسعاف” للمخرج محمد الجبالي في صيغة الراوي وصفا للحرب في غزة في عام 2014، وتكشف القصص وراء أعمال العنف المتكررة. في فيلم “وداعا طبريا”، تلتقط المخرجة لينا سويلم الرحلات الشخصية لأربعة أجيال من النساء الفلسطينيات الجريئات، كل واحدة منهن تؤثر في العالم على الرغم من هويتها المرتبكة.
في فيلم “الواقي الرصاصي” يتناول المخرجين عرب وناصر طرزان بشكل كوميدي حرب غزة، حيث يعرضان التحديات التي يواجهها زوجان فلسطينيان يحاولان ممارسة العلاقة الحميمة وسط القصف الإسرائيلي المدمر. فيلم التحريك المؤثر “الرسم من أجل أحلام أفضل” للمخرجة مى عودة يسلط الضوء على نضالات الأطفال الفلسطينيين في الأراضي المحتلة وكيف يتعاملون مع الحياة من خلال رسوماتهم بقلم التلوين، ويؤكد على أهمية السماح للشباب بالحلم والأمل.
يروى فيلم يسرى نصر الله “باب الشمس” ملحمة فلسطينية ممتدة على مدار 50 عاما تاريخ من المعاناة والأمل والحب. و فيلم “ليست فقط صورتك” إخراج آن باك ودرور ديان يتناول رحلة مأساوية لأشقاء ألمان-الفلسطينيين يسعون لتحقيق العدالة لعائلاتهم بعد غارة جوية إسرائيلية على غزة.
يقدم فيلم “بلا سقف” إخراج سينا سليمي نظرة ثاقبة حول الواقع المتناقض في غزة مانحاً المشاهدين فرصة للتأمل في فكرة البقاء وسط التهديدات المستمرة. وفي فيلم “الشجاعية” للمخرج محمد المغني، تعيش عائلة تقليدية في غزة حالة من الفوضى بعد أن دمرت التفجيرات منزلها.
فيلم “الأستاذ” إخراج فرح نابلسي يتناول بعمق الإحباطات اليومية وحالة الغضب الذي يعيشه الفلسطينيون ويوضح تأثير الحياة في بيئة يسيطر فيها أفراد يحملون أسلحة نارية ويملون على الأفراد ما يفعلونه وما لا يفعلونه أوكيف يمكنهم أن يعيشوا حياتهم
فيلم “إلى أبي” إخراج عبد السلام شحادة يستكشف التاريخ العربي والفلسطيني موضحا قدرة التغيير التي تحدثها الصور الفوتوغرافية.
يؤكد انتشال التميمي مدير مهرجان الجونة السينمائي على أهمية قسم “نافذة فلسطين” قائلا: “من خلال تلك الأفلام المدهشة نهدف إلى فتح نافذة على نسيج الحياة الفلسطينية المركب والغني. ونأمل أن تجد هذه القصص صدى لدى الجمهور مما يعزز التعاطف والتفاهم. ومن خلال توفير منصة لهذه الأصوات، فإننا نساهم في إجراء نقاش أوسع حول التجارب الإنسانية المشتركة التي تربطنا جميعًا.”
ومن خلال حلقة نقاشية مصاحبة لعرض هذا القسم السينمائي، بعنوان “الكاميرا في أزمة: عدسة على فلسطين” سنعرض المشهد المعقد لصناعة الأفلام في فلسطين. وستضم الحلقة صناع الأفلام المرموقين رشيد مشهراوي، ونجوى نجار، وخليل المزيان، أحمد المنيراوي، وهو ممثل من غزة، حيث يشرحون تجاربهم المباشرة، و يسلطون الضوء على التحديات الفريدة التي يواجهونها أثناء عملية التصوير. وسيدير حلقة النقاش محمد المغني، وسيعرض صورة عميقة حول صمود وإصرار صناع الأفلام الذين يتغلبون على الشدائد ليقدموا رواياتهم القوية إلى الشاشة.
وفي حديثها عن عروض الأفلام والحلقة النقاشية، قالت ماريان خوري المدير الفني للمهرجان: “إن إدراج برنامج “نافذة على فلسطين” في هذه الدورة من مهرجان الجونة السينمائي هو بمثابة دليل قوي على التزام المهرجان بإظهار أصوات الفلسطينيين من خلال عدسة السينما. حيث يقدم هذا البرنامج لجمهوره فرصة فريدة لاكتشاف أو إعادة اكتشاف الروايات الفلسطينية التي عرضت على الشاشة والانخراط في مناقشات هادفة، مع صناع الأفلام الذين سيتمكنون من الحضور إلى الجونة.

El Gouna Film Festival, unveils its program, Window on Palestine showcasing a powerful collection of films that delve into the heart of Palestinian narratives. The carefully curated selection sheds light on the challenges faced by a resilient people, inviting audiences to gain a deeper understanding of the human experiences within Palestine.
As recently announced, the 6th edition of the festival is now scheduled to take place in El Gouna from December 14 to 21, 2023.
The title Window on Palestine perfectly encapsulates the essence of this cinematic journey, inviting audiences to peer into the unseen lives and untold stories. Through this program, most of which was curated in collaboration with the Palestine Film Institute, El Gouna Film Festival aims to amplify the unfiltered narratives that deserve to be heard, offering a platform for voices that have long been overlooked. This special section underscores the festival’s commitment to supporting the just cause of the Palestinian people.
The films featured in the program span a range of compelling stories. Ambulance directed by Mohamed Jabaly, delivers a raw, first-person account of the last war in Gaza in 2014, uncovering the stories behind the recurring violence. In Bye Bye Tiberias, filmmaker Lina Soualem captures the personal journeys of four generations of daring Palestinian women, each influencing the world despite their dispersed identity.
Arab & Tarzan Nasser’s Condom Lead takes a comedic approach to the Gaza War, showcasing the challenges faced by a married Palestinian couple attempting intimacy amidst disruptive Israeli shelling. The very moving animated short by May Odeh Drawing for Better Dreams brings to life the struggles of Palestinian children in the Occupied Territories and how they cope with life with their crayon drawings, highlighting the power of allowing young people to hope and dream.
Yousry Nasrallah’s epic adaptation, Bab el shams, narrates the story of the people of Palestine, spanning fifty years of history, suffering, hope, and love. Anne Paq & Dror Dayan’s Not Just Your Picture follows the devastating journey of German-Palestinian siblings seeking justice for their family after an Israeli airstrike on Gaza.
Sina Salimi’s Roof Knocking provides insight into the paradoxical reality in Gaza, prompting viewers to contemplate preservation amidst constant threats.
In Shujayya, directed by Mohammed Almughanni, a typical family in Gaza is thrown into disarray after bombing attacks destroy their home.
Farah Nabulsi’s The Teacher delves into the daily frustrations and the rage experienced by Palestinians and illustrates the impact of living in a setting where individuals with firearms dictate what you can or cannot do, how you may or may not live your life… To My Father directed by Abdelsalam Shehadeh explores Palestinian and Arab history, reflecting on the transformative power of photography.
In a statement, Festival Director Intishal Al Timimi emphasized the significance of : “Through these compelling films, we aim to open a window into the rich and complex tapestry of Palestinian life. It is our hope that these stories will resonate with audiences, fostering empathy and understanding. By providing a platform for these voices, we contribute to a broader conversation about the shared human experiences that connect us all.”
In a discussion accompanying our film program, ‘Camera in Crisis: A Lens on Palestine’ will explore the intricate landscape of filmmaking in Palestine. The session will feature esteemed filmmakers Rashid Mashharawi, Najwa Najjar, Khalil Al Mozian and Gaza-born actor Ahmed Al Munirawi, who will share their firsthand experiences, shedding light on the unique challenges faced during the filming process, especially in crisis situations prevalent in Palestine, particularly in Gaza. The discussion will be moderated by Mohammed Almughanni, offering an insightful journey into the resilience and determination of filmmakers navigating adversity to bring powerful narratives to the screen.
